What is the volume for a normalized series compare with that of its raw series?

We are looking to send time series data to S3 and we know that if we normalize the series, the normalized version will go back over to Cassandra. The question is if we do that, is it like storing another full set of that series back in Cassandra with regard to volume (e.g. 1:1 GB) or is it less than the raw series?

Thank you,
Sam

The easiest way to check this would be to go to an existing environment and check the size of the column families using: Cassandra.cfstats()
