DFE annotation for period - "integer multiple of interval"

#1

Are these two the same? Or period has to be a “literal” integer multiple of interval?

  1. @DFE(interval=“HOUR”, period=“24HOUR”)
  2. @DFE(interval=“HOUR”, period=“DAY”)

#2

No. they are different, as this example:
When a data point changes for 2018-10-19T05:15:00,
with Period “24HOUR”, timeseries of stardate, (-24 )HOURs from next aligning time 2018-10-19T06:00:00 will be generated.
so you get timeseries data start:2018-10-18T06:00:00 end: 2018-10-20T06:00:00, at HOUR interval

with Peiord=“1Day”. timeserie aligned by Day that includes the data change timestamp.

so you get timeseries data start:2018-10-19T00:00:00 to end: 2018-10-20T00:00:00, at HOUR interval

@pavan.nandikonda Is it possible to have a period that is smaller than the interval?
